Mardi Gras 2009

My First Mardi Gras...How much fun. We went to Mobile to watch Pop ride in the "MOT" parade. He throws lots of good stuff....I got a cool dragon and sooo many beads that I lost count. I can't wait for next year....

My Buddy Jackson's B'day Party

Two weekends ago, I had the priviledge of going to my good buddy Jackson's lakehouse to help him celebrate his first b'day! Yeah. Can't believe we are getting so old!

8 Months Old and New Milestones 10-Fold

Now that I am 8 months old, I'm the "BMOC" (Big Man on Campus). I have officially cut my first tooth (2/13/09 to be exact) and, in fact, am so proud of this occurrence that I am still waking Mom and Dad up twice a night to let them know that Tooth #1 has officially arrived....they don't understand what all the fuss is about but I don't care. And then, on Valentines Day I hit 2 other milestones. I began clapping my hands and started pulling up from my tummy to a seated position. I am sooo close to crawling that I can almost taste it, but for now I'm comfortable just using my arms to pull me around or asking for other modes of transportation, like being carried. Mom and Dad scheduled some quick pics to be taken since it has been a while, but I decided to scratch my face the same day. Please just ignore the long, pink line going down the middle of my cheeck.... Mom wants me to get some better pics done outdoors or at another studio soon...so please also ignore the cheesy backdrops.

Did Someone Say Baby Yates II????

Yep. Mom apologizes for not making an official announcement before now, but appears the news is already out. Please accept her apology as things have been really crazy lately. Anyway, I am going to be a BIG BROTHER!!!! Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! My little bro or sis is due August 13, 2009. I can hardly wait....Just wanted to take the time to make it offical. Way to go Mom & Dad!

Atlanta Bound

Can you believe I turned 8 months old last week? Growing old, but still no grey hair! For the weekend, we packed our duds and headed to ATL to visit Aunt Debbi and family. We had a great time & enjoyed the spring-like weather, but unfortunately, we brought with us bad luck. Cousins Alex and Niki both lost their basketball games, but they both played great. I had so much fun watching all the activity on the court. I can't wait to play one day. Hopefully Daddy will coach my team like Uncle Nik does for Cousin Niki's team.

Sad News

Sorry I have been MIA for a while. I have very sad news to report. Coach passed away on Monday, January 26...which is the same day that Coach "Bear" Bryant passed (just several years earlier). We are all hurting but hanging on. I'm very sad that he won't be around to teach me to throw the ball, tailgate, come over and cook out, etc. etc. We will all miss him greatly and I cherish the small amount of time that I had to get to know him.

On a positive note, due to the unfortunate circumstances I was able to spend lots of time w/Aunts and Uncles that I never get to see. I also met some of my cousins for the first time ever. I loved playing with cousin Shaelyn. See my pics below.
